Spotted pythons (Antaresia maculosa) These are the largest pythons of the Antaresia genus growing to around 1.5m. They tend to do well in captivity and will tolerate plenty of handling

Black headed Pythons

Black headed python (Aspidites melanocephalus) Black Headed Pythons are a terrestrial snake found across the Top End of Australia. They are renowned for being easy to handle from hatching and do well in captivity although hatchlings can be hard to get feeding. Due to their awesome temperament, they are my personal favourite python. Grows to 3m+

Woma Pythons

Woma pythons (Aspidites ramsayi) From the sandy desert country from QLD to WA including NT, SA this python inhabits a large part of Australia. Womas are a hardy snake in captivity and take well to handling. Grows to around 1.8m.

Childrens pythons (Antaresia childreni) These small pythons (up to 1.2m) are common in the Top End. Very hardy pythons with a placid nature, they make a great first pet python.

Stimsons Pythons

Stimsons pythons (Antaresia childreni) These small pythons (up to 1.2m) are common throughout Central and Western Australia. Pretty pythons with a generally placid nature, they make a great first pet python.

Yellow-faced Turtle

Yellow faced turtle (Emydura tanybaraga) These beautiful aquatic turtles are found in northern WA, NT and QLD.

Green Tree Pythons

Green Tree Pythons (Morelia viridis) Primarily an arboreal species, Green tree pythons are found in the rainforests of Northern QLD, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. A popular snake due to their stunning colour.

Olive Pythons

Olive pythons (Liasis olivaceus) includes albinos found across the top end of Australia, olive pythons grow to be giants, reaching lengths of above 4m. If handled regularly they can grow to be gentle giants. Make sure you have a large enclosure because these guys grow quickly!!

Rough-Scaled Pythons

Rough-Scaled Pythons (Morelia carinata) are found only in North Western Australia. They grow to around 2m in length. Usually quite placid in nature, they love to climb and benefit from an enclosure with height as well as width.

Blue Tongue Lizard/Skink

Blue tongue lizard/skink (Tiliqua scincoides) These terrestrial lizards are great for beginners as they eat a wide variety of meat and vegies. They are easily handled and are hardy in captivity. They do require UV Lighting. Unfortunately these lizards wild population has been decimated since the arrival of the cane toad in the top end of Australia.
